The ESIEM26 roundtables will bring together more than 30 companies to discuss the future of engineering and employment
On March 19, 2026, within the framework of the Meeting on Engineering and Employment (ESIEM26) to be held at the Higher Technical School of Engineering (ETSi) of the University of Seville, a complete program of thematic round tables will take place in which more than thirty leading companies and organizations from different technological and industrial sectors will participate.
These round tables have become one of the most valued aspects of the event, as they allow students to learn firsthand how companies are addressing current major technological challenges and what professional profiles they demand.
This edition features nine round tables distributed across four time blocks, in which leading companies in fields such as aeronautics, energy, digitalization, industry 4.0, mobility, and new materials will participate.
A space for dialogue between business and talent
Each table will feature the participation of several companies that will share their experience, present their lines of activity and discuss the technological and professional challenges of their respective sectors.
The sessions will combine brief company presentations, moderated dialogue, and an open question period for students, allowing for a direct exchange between the academic and business worlds.
Key themes for the future of engineering
The ESIEM26 roundtables will address some of the strategic areas that are defining the transformation of engineering and industry:
- The future of aeronautics, defense and space
- Renewable energy and energy transition
- Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence in Industry
- Sustainable mobility and the transport of the future
- Automation, robotics and Industry 4.0
- Engineering applied to new materials and industrial processes
- Smart energy systems and electricity markets
These topics reflect some of the technological fields that are experiencing the greatest growth and transformation, and that demand highly qualified engineering profiles.
Participation of leading companies
Among the companies and organizations participating in the roundtables are leading companies in their respective sectors, such as:
Airbus Defence and Space, SENER, AERTEC Solutions, Akkodis, Alter Technology, CT Ingenieros, INECO, Ferrovial, Persán, Schneider Electric, Carrier, Refresco Iberia, EMASESA, INERCO, Moeve, PwC, NTT Data, Idener.AI, Ghenova Ingeniería, EMAN Ingeniería, Molins Precast Solutions, SANDO, AZVI, among others.
The presence of these organizations will allow students to learn about real projects, technological trends, and career opportunities in key areas of engineering.
Connecting education and industry
The aim of these sessions is to bring the reality of the industrial sector closer to the students of the School, showing how engineering is evolving in different areas and what skills and professional profiles companies are currently demanding.
In addition, the round tables complement the main activity of the event, in which companies, professional associations and organizations in the sector will set up information stands to present their internship, scholarship and employment opportunities.
With this initiative, the Higher Technical School of Engineering reaffirms its commitment to the connection between university and industry, facilitating direct contact between future engineers and the business community.
