The ETSI of the University of Seville participates in the Conference of Directors of Civil Engineering held in Granada
The Higher Technical School of Engineering (ETSi) of the University of Seville participated in the meeting of the Conference of Directors of Civil Engineering (CODICAM), held at the University of Granada. The meeting took place at the Higher Technical School of Civil Engineering, bringing together academic representatives from institutions throughout Spain.
Representing ETSi were Andrés Sáez, director of the Higher Technical School of Engineering of the University of Seville, and Alejandro López Ruiz, secretary of the same, who participated in the working sessions along with representatives from other academic institutions.
During the CODICAM Assembly, attended by fourteen directors of engineering schools, strategic issues related to Civil Engineering degrees and the Master's in Civil Engineering (Roads, Canals, and Ports) were addressed. The conference brings together representatives from the engineering schools of Spanish public universities that offer these programs, including those in A Coruña, Algeciras, Alicante, Barcelona, Burgos, Cáceres, Cartagena, Ciudad Real, Granada, Madrid, Mieres, Santander, Seville, and Valencia.
Also coinciding with this meeting, the National Civil Engineering Olympiad took place, an initiative aimed at fostering interest in civil engineering among pre-university students. In this context, the team from the Punta del Verde Institute in Seville once again won the gold medal, reaffirming their outstanding performance in this competition.
The participation of the ETSi in this forum reinforces its involvement in academic coordination at the national level and in promoting initiatives that foster excellence and interest in civil engineering.
