The Engineers' Tuna achieves a historic victory in the 50th University District Competition of Seville
The Engineering Student Tuna made history this past Saturday by winning first prize at the 50th edition of the University District of Seville's Tuna Competition. For the first time since its founding, this group managed to beat the traditional winners, the Industrial Engineering and Teacher Training student tunas, in an edition made especially significant by its commemorative nature.
But the feat didn't end there. In addition to the award for best tuna group in the competition, the Engineers' group swept the main artistic categories, also taking home the prizes for:
- Best street parade
- Best soloist
- Best choir
- Best Show
The tuna, currently made up of former students of the Higher Technical School of Engineering of Seville, has once again demonstrated that passion, camaraderie and music have no age.
The group encourages everyone who feels young at heart, enjoys singing, or plays an instrument to join their ranks: "It's never too late to become part of this great musical family!"
