The Knowledge Transfer and Entrepreneurship Secretariat of the University of Seville is organizing the 18th edition of the Entrepreneurship Ideas Competition, a program aimed at all members of the US university community interested in learning how to transform a business idea into a real project with a chance of success.

This competition is open to students (undergraduate, master's, and doctoral), alumni (members of the US Alumni community), teaching and research staff (PDI), and administrative and service staff (PAS). Business initiatives will be organized into two categories, based on their members:

  • Category 'Students/Alumni': person currently enrolled at US or who has been enrolled in the past.
  • Category 'PDI-PAS': teaching and research staff and administrative and service staff of the University of Seville.

Those interested can register until April 30 by filling out the form available on the Santander X platform, the entity that finances the competition.

During the competition, six online training sessions on entrepreneurship-related topics will be held for all participants. The training modules will be taught by experts from various fields. The sessions will cover topics such as: business idea development, planning and creating a strategic plan; challenges and key trends in fundraising; communication, marketing, and digital strategy; and leadership, negotiation, and teamwork skills.

In addition to registering on time, teams must submit a complete business idea proposal before the application deadline (April 30). If the proposal is selected as a finalist, the team will receive one-on-one mentoring sessions to help develop the project before the closing ceremony and presentation of initiatives, scheduled for May 25, before a panel of experts from various organizations related to entrepreneurship and the business world.

The winners will have the opportunity to attend international stays to develop entrepreneurial skills at the Universities of Berkeley (Berkeley Method of Entrepreneurship Bootcap), Boston (Badson Build) or Porto (European Innovation Academy), as well as grants of up to 18,000 euros intended to boost and consolidate initiatives.

The Knowledge Transfer and Entrepreneurship Secretariat continues to champion entrepreneurship, promoting entrepreneurial skills among students, researchers, and administrative and service staff. In this way, the University of Seville maintains its position as a key player within the region's entrepreneurial ecosystem.
