The ETSi hosts the IEEE International Conference on Dielectric Liquids (ICDL)

More than 130 researchers and experts in dialectical liquids met from May 30 to June 2 in Seville.

The Higher Technical School of Engineering of the University of Seville has hosted the IEEE International Conference on Dielectric Liquids (ICDL), which has brought together more than 130 researchers and experts from more than 20 countries around the world.

The IEEE is the largest conference on the fundamental study and applications of dielectric liquids. The first edition was held in Philadelphia, USA, in 1958. It is a conference that focuses on promoting the exchange and discussion of ideas, results and practical experiences on the properties and applications of insulating liquids. It is aimed at physicists, chemists, materials experts and electrical engineers interested in basic research and practical applications of these liquids. As such, participants come from both academic and industrial backgrounds.

The last edition was held in 2019 in Rome, and although its character until now has been biannual, the global pandemic situation forced the postponement of the event in Seville, which was scheduled for 2021.
