Nuclear Fusion: Opportunities in Europe and the US through the University of Seville and Princeton University

Next Friday, November 25, at 12:30 p.m., in room 308-A of the Higher Technical School of Engineering (ETSI) of the University of Seville (US), the conference titled: "Nuclear Fusion: Opportunities" in Europe and the USA through the University of Seville and Princeton University"

The conference will feature two internationally renowned researchers:

  • Dr. Eleonora Viezzer Co-director of Plasma Science and Fusion Technology (PSFT) Group of the US, who will talk about: Fusion in Europe and the SMART tokamak of the University of Seville.

  • Dr. Luis F. Delgado Aparicio , Head of Advanced Project Department, Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL), Princeton University, who will discuss the topic: Fusion in the US; national laboratories, universities and the private sector. Advances in X-ray spectroscopy.

The tokamak of the University of Seville (SMART) , currently under construction, and in which researchers from the ETSi and the Faculty of Physics of the University of Seville are working, has recently received a notable boost of resources from the government of USA that will go towards a project won by Princeton University.

This conference is therefore of special interest to both students and researchers from the ETSi and the US in general, due to the wide variety of opportunities that will be provided in this field from now on.

Registration to attend will be done at this link.
