The Higher Technical School of Engineering celebrates the first edition of ETSIDAY
The almost 7,000 members of the ETSI academic community enjoyed an extensive program of activities aimed at favoring coexistence and strengthening personal relationships.
The Higher Technical School of Engineering of the University of Seville celebrated last March 5, for the first time in its more than 50 years of history, ETSIDAY, a day in which its academic community could enjoy a wide program of activities that covered both academic, work, playful aspects, as well as sports or cultural.
The ETSIDAY, began at 9:30 am with an official inauguration by the school director, Andrés Sáez Pérez, and which was attended by the ETSI students of the ETSI students, Carmen Hernández Mancera, as well as representatives of the Student Delegation, the Association of Forces, the Culture Classroom, and all the students' associations of the center, which have been part of the organization of the center.
The fundamental objective of this meeting day between students, teachers and researchers, graduates, the sector of the sector and personnel of the different services of the school, is to favor coexistence and enjoyment, beyond the ordinary development of the academic calendar, among members of a community of almost 7000 people.
For this, the day began with the celebration of two round tables, directed mainly to the students of the ETSI, in which, graduated from different degrees of the center, they transmitted their experiences in the world of work and entrepreneurship to the audience.
The first one, entitled “Relevant trajectories: What future awaits you after the ETSI?, was attended by Dulce Muñoz, Telecommunication Engineer and VP Head of A400M Development Program; Antonio Zafra, Industrial Engineer and Public Affairs, Sustainability and Infraestuctures Director At Airote Solution; María Díaz, Chemical Engineer and Contracts Manager at Nextracker Inc.; and Pablo Castillo, engineer of roads, channels and ports, and Technical Director in Inhisa Hydraulic SA The students and public audiences knew firsthand the trajectory of these former students of the ETSI, the path traveled until they led teams and projects in large companies of the industrial field.
After the completion of this first round table, a second took place, which under the title "Graduates tell us their entrepreneurship experiences", It was attended by Francisco Gamero and Pablo García, co -founders and Engineering Manager of Pleeda Solutions SL; Carlos Rodríguez, CEO and co -founder of Solum; Gerardo Peña, socio-founder of Sophisticatus; and José Antonio Pérez, CEO and co -founder of Cover Manager, who presented their business models as an example of entrepreneurship and as a labor alternative for future ETSI graduates.
Likewise, ETSIDAY participants could access personnel from the different chairs of companies present at the school (Endesa, Innerco, Airbus, MP, PRL, Moeve, Alter Technology, Emasesa, Hitachi, Schneider, Basec, Indra, etc.) that from different stands offered information about their activity and the academic and labor possibilities that are available for students.
In addition, the day had a marked playful character, with an extensive program of cultural and sports activities, Yinkanas, demonstrations and games organized by associations such as Arus, Esibot, Vantus, Euroavia, Coheteros, Estiem, Eusracing, as well as karaoke and live music.
The ETSI address, together with Student Delegation and the rest of the associations and classrooms of culture and sports, has embarked on the celebration of this day with the firm conviction that all the relationships that narrow themselves in a playful, relaxed and festive way, will have their reward in a better coexistence and better development of the teaching and research activities that are the basis and the motor principle of a center such as the center of a center of the technical school of the technical school of the technical school.
