Climathon Seville

Climathon Seville

Seville will host the fourth edition of Climathon in the city October 27 to 29 Under the motto 'A climate of change against climate change' , Climathon calls upon this restless and entrepreneurial talent to compete in the creation of new ideas that achieve the thermal comfort that is so often longed for in Seville. Solutions that must be sought focusing on water, vegetation or construction materials.

This new edition, which expects to receive a large number of requests for participation, will once again form interdisciplinary groups that will work for 48 hours to promote projects with real impact that reverse the present and future effects of climate change. Participants do not require any prior preparation or specific training: they only have to be over 18 years old and be aware of the climate cause. Groups of friends or co-workers or classmates can also register directly as a team (maximum five members).

The primary objective of Climathon is to raise awareness and mobilize citizens to become “agents of change.” The event serves as a meeting point to find effective solutions that can be applicable in Seville and other places on our planet and that accelerate the transition towards a climate-resistant and carbon-neutral society. The urgency of this objective is unquestionable.

To increase the social impact and visibility of the initiative in this fourth edition, Climathon will have support and sponsorship from the public and private sectors of the city of Seville.
