Teaching planning

The Master's degree  is structured as a 120 ECTS qualification, comprising 16 compulsory subjects and 6 optional subjects, programmed over two academic years as follows:

In the first semester of the first year, students must take one of two courses: “Air Transport Supplements” or “Aircraft and Aircraft Systems Calculations,” depending on their chosen specialization. Students specializing in Aerospace Vehicles must take “Air Transport Supplements,” while students specializing in Air Navigation or Airports and Air Transport must take “Aircraft and Aircraft Systems Calculations.”.

In order to guarantee a common and homogeneous educational profile for graduates of this master's degree program, it may be necessary to direct the enrollment of graduates in Aerospace Engineering from universities other than the University of Seville, or of other students who hold other undergraduate degrees that qualify them to practice as Aeronautical Technical Engineers, with regard to part or all of the optional subjects to be taken.

Thus, for these students, pathways will be established within the general elective options, based on the subjects studied in their undergraduate degree, always comparing the academic record of the student from the various degrees that grant access to the master's program with the comprehensive training and educational objectives of the program comprised of the reference degree and the Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering. These leveling supplementary courses, which will count as part of the 30 elective credits, will be established, where applicable, as a subset of the subjects in the previous figure.

The remaining credits allocated to elective courses—that is, those not to be fulfilled through leveling courses—will be used by the student to choose the elective courses they wish to take from among those offered, with the sole restriction that they may not enroll in courses whose content has already been covered by courses in the Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering or the Master's degree program (the aim is to supplement the training received). The list of elective courses offered in each academic year will be a subset of those presented in the previous figure.

In addition, internships are offered as optional courses. These can be taken as 5, 10, or 15 ECTS credit courses. Students must ensure they have been assigned a company before enrolling. To do so, they should contact the ETSi's international relations office.

Furthermore, the Master's Academic Committee may establish additional training supplements to the 120 credits included in the Master's program for those students who access the program holding a degree that does not meet the requirements of Ministerial Order CIN/308/2009. These additional training supplements will, in any case, correspond to subjects from the Degree in Aerospace Engineering at the ETSi .
