40th anniversary of the XVI Class of Industrial Engineers
The Higher Technical School of Engineering of the University of Seville has hosted the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the XVI Promotion of Industrial Engineers, a commemorative event that has brought together graduates around an academic and institutional program organized by the delegate committee and the Association of Former Students of the ETSi.
The meeting was attended by Cayetano Luis Martínez de Irujo y Fitz-James Stuart, who accompanied this graduating class, which was sponsored by his mother, Cayetana Fitz-James Stuart, after the completion of their studies, reinforcing the historical link between the class and the noble institution.
During the ceremony, representatives from the School, the academic community, and the alumni association spoke at a welcome session that highlighted the professional achievements of its members. In this regard, the graduating class is notable for having included two deans of the Official College of Industrial Engineers of Western Andalusia: Aurelio Azaña, who held the position from 2005 to 2019, and Juan Carlos Durán, who has held the position since 2019. The program also included a ceremony in memory of deceased classmates and professors and concluded with a social gathering for the attendees.
