The ETSi participates in the General Assembly of the International Heritage Network
Professor Miguel Ángel González Cagigal, as ETSi delegate for the International Heritage Network, participated last April in the 7th Annual General Assembly, held at IIT Roorkee University (Indian Institutes for Technology), in India.
The objective of ETSi, as a member of this network of excellence, is to deepen international mobility exchanges at the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels with the European and Indian Universities and Engineering Centers that are part of it.
At this meeting, which is held annually, alternating between Europe and India, the guidelines that will shape the network's actions were discussed. The venue for the 2025 General Assembly was also announced: TU Dresden University in Dresden, Germany.
The Heritage Network aims to strengthen cooperation in higher education (research and teaching) between Europe and India in the field of engineering sciences. Currently, the network comprises 16 Indian and 14 European members, whose objectives are:
- To develop academic and research exchanges between partner institutions and to promote high-level educational programs in Engineering, Science, Design and Technology between Europe and India.
- Organize annual workshops on scientific and technical topics of mutual interest.
- To be a reference for the governments of Europe and India and to gain influence in the policies of internationalization of higher education and cooperation in research.
- Maintaining strong relationships and fruitful alliances among members.
