The ETSi attends the Heritage Network General Assembly
Heritage Network General Assembly
Professors Alejandro Marano Marcolini and Juan José Murillo Fuentes, from the ETSi (School of Engineering), the current and incoming Deputy Director of International Relations and Mobility respectively, attended the 6th General Assembly of the Heritage Network , an academic excellence network, held at the Polytechnic University of Madrid on June 1st and 2nd, 2023. At this meeting, which is held annually alternating between Europe and India, the guidelines for the network's actions were discussed, with Sustainability as central theme.
They also welcomed the 30th member of the Heritage Network, the Technological University of Dublin (TU Dublin), which joins the other members of recognized prestige in higher education in the field of engineering.
Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) was also chosen as the host for the 2014 General Assembly.
The Heritage Network aims to strengthen cooperation in higher education (research and teaching) between Europe and India in the field of engineering sciences. Currently, the network comprises 16 Indian and 14 European members, whose objectives are:
- To develop academic and research exchanges between partner institutions and to promote high-level educational programs in Engineering, Science, Design and Technology between Europe and India.
- Organize annual workshops on scientific and technical topics of mutual interest.
- To be a reference for the governments of Europe and India and to gain influence in the policies of internationalization of higher education and cooperation in research.
- Maintaining strong relationships and fruitful alliances among members.
