The ETSi obtains EUR-ACE® International Quality Labels for its Master's Degree programs

Publication date

The School of Engineering (ETSi) has obtained the EUR-ACE® Label for its Master's degrees in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Electronics, Robotics and Automation, Electrical Power Systems, and Thermal Energy Systems. Of particular note is the awarding of the Label to the Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, making the Procedural Academic Program (PARS) in Chemical Engineering the first to receive the EUR-ACE® Label at ETSi. Furthermore, the Double Master's degree in Chemical Engineering and Environmental Engineering is the first double master's program of its kind in Spain to receive the EUR-ACE® Label.

This recognition has positive retroactive effects for graduates of the aforementioned degrees who graduated from ETSi from February 2021 onwards, so these graduates will have the mention of the Seal in their European Diploma Supplements.

The ETSi already had this distinction for all its Bachelor's degrees, including those belonging to the Campus of International Excellence Andalucía Tech.

The EUR-ACE® Programme is a collaborative project involving 38 countries, primarily European, and supported by national evaluation agencies, such as ANECA in the case of Spain, which conduct the evaluations in each country. The EUR-ACE® Label is a certificate awarded by an agency authorized by the European Network for the Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE) to a university for a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering evaluated according to a series of defined standards, in accordance with the principles of quality, relevance, transparency, recognition, and mobility established within the European Higher Education Area. Therefore, the Institute of Engineering of Spain (IIE), as one of the country's leading institutions for the engineering profession, and ANECA, as a key player in

The process of renewing the accreditation of degrees in Spain involves a joint collaboration that promotes the quality and international recognition of Spanish undergraduate and master's degrees in the field of engineering.

Obtaining the EUR-ACE® Label represents recognition for the Center's excellence in training engineering professionals across a multitude of disciplines. It is precisely the diversity of degrees offered by the ETSi that distinguishes it from other schools at the national level and is positively valued in obtaining the Label. In particular, the EUR-ACE® Label certifies that graduates of the evaluated degrees:

· They meet the quality criteria established and agreed by international quality assurance agencies in higher education, based on international standards recognized by employers in Europe.

· It recognizes the quality of the degree within and outside the country where it is taught, this recognition being an incentive for potential students to choose it.

· It assures employers of graduates of a degree that the knowledge and practical skills of graduates of this degree meet a series of international education standards in the field of the Seal's degree.

The ETSi Management continues to promote the development and modernization of the engineering degrees offered at the center, ensuring the quality of the curricula and teaching within the framework of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), and of the ETSi's common services. This results in a better and more efficient service to the society to which the School is accountable. In particular, the ETSi intends to submit the remaining Master's degrees in Engineering for evaluation.
