Televés' "Passion for Quality" Mobile Unit visits ETSi

On May 10th, the ETSI (School of Telecommunications Engineering) will host the Televés "Passion for Quality" Mobile Unit, which will be located next to the Workshops and Laboratories Building.

Following an international tour through Germany and Poland , the unit will showcase the details of the new ICT2 (Information and Communication Technologies 2.0) and the framework plan for the Digital Dividend, while also providing an opportunity to learn about other innovations and applications in the sector.

The Mobile Unit will host interactive sessions of approximately 30 minutes in groups of 10 people, with a special focus on equipment for telecommunications engineers and Type F telecommunications installers:
- Fiber Optic Fusion Splicer
- H45 Field Strength Meter with Optical Interface
- OPS3L 3 Lambda Light Generator
- Cat. 6 Structured Cable Certifier.

The sessions will also cover new solutions for transmodulating high-definition satellite signals from DVB S2 to COFDM, television signal transmission and reception via fiber optics, the equipment to be installed in new ICT2 infrastructure (receptacles, multi-fiber cables, PAUs), solutions for distributing Internet through existing coaxial cable in homes using the COAXDATA system, new QSD satellite dishes, optical LNBs, etc.
