eUSRacing and Endesa sign a collaboration agreement to promote electric motorcycles and university talent

Endesa and eUSRacing today signed a collaboration agreement, joining forces and providing the University of Seville's motorcycle racing team with the necessary support to face new challenges. This year, the team will participate in a new edition of the international MotoStudent championship with a high-performance electric vehicle designed by the students themselves.

Present at the event were María del Carmen Gallardo Cruz, Vice-Rector for Students at the University of Seville; Andrés Sáez Pérez, Director of the Higher Technical School of Engineering; Paula Saucedo Rodríguez, Team Leader of eUSRacing; and Rafael Sánchez Durán, Director of Endesa in Andalusia, Extremadura, Ceuta and Melilla, who were responsible for ratifying this agreement.

The Vice-Rector for Students at the University of Seville highlighted the importance of collaboration between university and business "to develop projects like eUSRacing, which are crucial," and emphasized the importance of "raising awareness in society about this collaboration because this synergy allows students to be prepared with that wealth of experience ready for the real job market.".

Along the same lines, the director of the Higher Technical School of Engineering expressed his gratitude to Endesa for its support, emphasizing that “the synergy between the company and the university is fundamental, as both parties feed off each other and benefit mutually.” He also addressed the students present, saying, “The work you are doing is not only for this year’s competition, but also for future students, ensuring that this effort has a long-term impact.”

"At Endesa, we believe in the power of public-private collaboration to move towards a more sustainable future. This alliance with eUSRacing not only allows us to support the development of an innovative electric vehicle, but also to contribute to the development of a new generation of engineers who will play a key role in the transition to a more environmentally friendly world," highlighted the director of Endesa in Andalusia, Extremadura, Ceuta and Melilla.

For her part, the eUSRacing Team Leader highlighted the team's journey during her speech. “We know what it means to stay late solving a problem, to celebrate every small step forward, and to get back up after every fall. Every obstacle overcome has left its mark on our history and made us stronger.”.

She also emphasized that having Endesa's support on this journey is an invaluable boost. “Their support reinforces our commitment and motivates us to continue working with the same passion. Together, we are moving towards a more sustainable future, determined to keep improving,” she stated.

eUSRacing will present an electric prototype designed and manufactured by students from the University of Seville. This prototype incorporates innovations such as variable geometry, which adapts the vehicle's behavior to each test, and a higher-capacity battery to optimize power and speed. Furthermore, the students have developed a fast charger that allows for a full recharge in 45 minutes, a progressive suspension system that improves stability and traction, and an advanced battery management system (BMS) that monitors its performance in real time. The prototype has also been made lighter using materials such as aluminum and carbon fiber. These improvements reflect the team's commitment to innovation and sustainability.

This motorcycle will be put to the test at MotoStudent, an international competition held at the MotorLand Aragón circuit. At this event, universities from around the world have the opportunity to apply their technical knowledge to a real-world project, promoting both teamwork and complex problem-solving.

This agreement strengthens eUSRacing's trajectory, which, throughout its 15-year history, has established itself as a benchmark in university motorcycling, combining engineering, innovation, and competition. With Endesa's backing, the team embarks on this new phase with the goal of further raising the profile of the University of Seville internationally.
