Last Friday, March 6th, students enrolled in the "Construction Materials Technology" course (2nd year of the Civil Engineering degree) visited the Portland Cement Plant in Valderrivas, Seville, accompanied by their professor, Pilar Díaz Carrasco. The visit was funded by the ETSI (School of Engineering) through its grant program for bus travel for student academic activities.

The students received a technical explanation of cement manufacturing and were shown each of the processes and systems involved. They also took a guided tour of the cement plant and laboratories, where they observed the technical tests performed on different cement samples to determine their compressive strength.
