Students of the 2010 plan of the Degree in Industrial Technology Engineering who wish to change to the 2024 plan must submit the application in person at the ETSi Secretariat or electronically through the Electronic Headquarters of the University of Seville attaching the model indicated below.

Deadline to request a plan change (adaptation to the GITI-US plan 2024):

  • From July 7 to August 18, 2025.

A new deadline will be opened for the 2026/27 academic year.

Application Form for Adaptation to the 2024 Plan: Download

Once their academic record was created under the 2024 plan, students received an email from the Registrar's Office confirming their enrollment. Registration for students enrolled in the 2024 plan will take place during the first week of September 2025, subject to prior notification from the Registrar's Office.

To make it easier to complete the adaptation request, here are some examples:

Example 1 : student who during the 2023/24 academic year has taken subjects of different specializations than his own in order to facilitate his adaptation to the 2024 plan.

Example 2 : student of a specialization who has completed 3rd year in 2023/24.

If you want to consult the list of specific optional subjects of GITI-US-2024 (grey), it is available in the Study Plan .

You can find the course adaptation table here . The following links provide relevant information about the information sessions held at the ETSi.

Frequently Asked Questions for GITI-US Students - 2010 Plan

  • I'm going on a mobility program (for example, Erasmus) in 2024/25 and I don't know if the new plan affects my mobility agreement, what should I do?

If you're going on a mobility program in 2024/25, it's best to stay in the GITI-US 2010 curriculum, at least for that year. You'll be able to pass the courses from your curriculum at the host institution, even if they no longer offer them at the ETSi. If you later switch to the 2024 curriculum, the courses you passed while on mobility will be recognized/adapted as if they had been passed at the ETSi.

  • I want to go on Erasmus, but not in 2024/25, but later, and I don't know if switching to the GITI-US 2024 plan would negatively affect me.

In the new plan, the destinations offered and the mobility conditions will be the same as the current ones. Therefore, you shouldn't have any problem changing your plan. Furthermore, since the new plan is more general, it will generally be easier to draw up the study agreement with the host university.

  • [ UPDATED ] I'm switching to the GITI-US 2024 plan in 2025/26. Will I be able to apply for the 3rd call? What if I adapted in 2024/25?

Yes, you can. Exceptionally, you may take this exam if you were enrolled in the equivalent course in 2024/25 or earlier. The syllabus will correspond to the GITI-US 2010 curriculum. Important: You must request it from the Registrar's Office. If you were enrolled in the 2024/25 program, you can also take the third exam under the same conditions as students who enrolled this year. More information is available in the GITI-US 2024 program registration guide .

  • If I switch to the 2024 GITI-US plan, will the "used" exam attempts for subjects I failed in the 2010 plan be saved?

No. When you switch to the 2024 plan, the number of exam attempts resets. Therefore, for all subjects, it will be as if it were the first time you are taking them (no attempts have been used).

  • If, when adapting to the GITI-US plan 2024, the subjects that are recognized (adapted) change the number of credits, what happens?

[ UPDATED ] If, when adapting to the new curriculum, an adapted subject has fewer credits than the original subject in the 2010 curriculum, the remaining credits will be recognized as elective courses (yellow). Important: You must indicate this in the adaptation request . If the balance is negative, nothing will happen.

Examples:

a) I have passed the following courses in the GITI-US 2010 plan: "Mathematics I", "General Chemistry" and "Statistics and Operations Research". I can request the remaining 1.5 credits for "General Chemistry" (adapted by "Chemistry") in the application (point 3).

b) I have passed the following courses in the GITI-US 2010 plan: "Mathematics I", "General Chemistry" and "Physics II". I can request the remaining 1.5 credits for "General Chemistry" (adapted by "Chemistry") in the application (point 3).

c) I have passed the following courses in the GITI-US 2010 program: "Mathematics I", "Physics II", and "Statistics and Operations Research". That's fine. I don't need to indicate anything on the application.

  • When I adapt to the GITI-US plan 2024, there are year-long subjects that correspond to two semester-long subjects from the GITI-US plan 2010. What happens if I only have one of them passed?

We are talking about 3 subjects from the GITI-US plan 2024:

  1. Differential and integral calculus (1st)

  2. Thermal Engineering (3rd year)

  3. Electrical Technology (3rd)

We'll use Thermal Engineering as an example, but it's applicable to the other two. Thermal Engineering in the GITI-US 2024 curriculum is recognized by the Heat Transfer + Energy Technology courses in the GITI-US 2010 curriculum. If you only passed Heat Transfer, when you transition to the 2024 curriculum, you'll only need to take and pass the Thermal Engineering exam that corresponds to the other subject (in this case, the second exam would be equivalent to Energy Technology). Once you pass, your grade for the subject will be the average of that exam and Heat Transfer.

  • If in the 2023/24 academic year I am in first year and I am going to adapt to the 2024 plan (in the 2024/25 academic year I will already be in the 2024 plan), do I have to go to the 1st year classes (in the morning)?

No. Since the subject Fundamentals of Materials Science is moving from the second to the first year in the 2024 curriculum, three additional groups of Fundamentals of Materials Science will be exceptionally offered in the afternoon for the 2024/25 academic year. These groups have a schedule compatible with the second-year subjects of the 2024 curriculum. here (the subjects from the 2010 curriculum are shown in green, and those from the 2024 curriculum are shown in white in the same PDF to facilitate your registration).

  • I am not going to adapt to the GITI-US plan 2024. How does all this change affect my access to the Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering (MII)?

The MII-US plan 2024 will be in effect in the 2024/25 academic year. You will still be able to access the MII under the PARS , as this is not affected by the plan change.

  • I want to adapt to the GITI-US 2024 plan, but I'll do it in 2025/26 (or even later). Can I enroll next year in courses from the GITI-US 2010 plan, combining different specializations?

Yes. As you'll be adapting to the new plan, you can take the courses that best suit you during the adaptation period. Keep in mind the possible scheduling conflicts for exams. Please consult the adaptation table .

  • [Updated September 2025] If I cannot adapt to the GITI-US plan 2024, what is the last year in which I can enroll in subjects from my study plan (GITI-US plan 2010)?

According to US regulations, the last course in which you can formally enroll will be:

last course you can enroll in
compulsory subjects from 1st-3rd year in GITI-US 20102026/27

4th year subjects in GITI-US 2010 (ALL)

2027/28

You should be aware that if you have any outstanding subjects (you haven't passed them) and you can no longer enroll, you will not be able to finish in the 2010 plan.

For example, if you had "Heat Transfer" (3rd GITI-US plan 2010) pending at the end of the 2026/27 academic year, you would not be able to complete the GITI-US 2010 curriculum, as it will not be possible to enroll in that subject in the 2027/28 academic year (or in subsequent years).

  • [NEW August 2025] If I do not adapt to the GITI-US plan 2024, some subjects have changed semesters in the 2025/26 academic year, how does this affect me?

The subjects that have changed semesters are indicated in the 2025/26 course registration guide . This change affects the dates of the first and second exam periods. However, students who have less than 10% of their total degree credits remaining, excluding the Final Degree Project (TFG), may sit the third exam period (October 2025) for all their pending subjects, even if it is their first time registering for them. This right is regulated in Article 61.4 of the University of Seville's General Regulations for Teaching Activities.
