ETSi student Pedro Benítez, winner of the Ingenio Junior 2025 awards

The Official College of Telecommunications Technical Engineers of Andalusia (COITTA) and the Andalusian Association of Graduates and Engineers in Specific Telecommunications Technologies (AAGIT) have awarded the 2025 Junior Ingenuity Awards . The competition recognizes the best Final Degree Projects (TFG) from Andalusian universities in the telecommunications engineering sector.

Pedro Benítez Pérez, a graduate in Telecommunications Engineering from the Higher Technical School of Engineering (ETSi) of the University of Seville, has been the winner in the Image and Sound Category.

Her final degree project, entitled "Virtual Emotion", was supervised by Professor Irene Fondón, from the Department of Signal Theory and Communications from the University of Seville. The project develops a solution that combines virtual reality and artificial intelligence to generate audiovisual environments with applications in research and mental health.

 

Institutional support

The event was supported by Caja de Ingenieros and AVIXA, solidifying its position as a platform for knowledge transfer between universities and the professional community. Academic representatives from various Andalusian universities and representatives from the COITT University Network attended.
