The ETSi hosts the XI International Symposium on Electrohydrodynamics (ISEHD2025)

Between June 10 and 13, the Higher Technical School of Engineering (ETSI) of the University of Seville is the venue for the XI International Symposium on Electrohydrodynamics (ISEHD2025), a leading international congress held every two years that brings together the scientific community specializing in Electrohydrodynamics.

This edition brings together more than 90 experts from universities, research centers, and companies from countries including Japan, China, the United States, Canada, Spain, France, Russia, India, Lebanon, and Algeria, among others. It is an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas, results, and practical experiences in a close-knit and collaborative environment.

The University of Seville enjoys a renowned international reputation in this field, thanks to the work of its Electrohydrodynamics Group. The city and its university offer an ideal environment for fostering multidisciplinary scientific debate, as was consolidated at the previous edition of the congress, held jointly with the ISNTP in Hokkaido, Japan, in 2022.

Electrohydrodynamics studies the action of electric fields on fluids—both liquids and gases—and has multiple applications in industrial sectors (industrial and food drying), biomedical sectors (manipulation of flows and cells, development of Lab-On-A-Chip), aerospace sectors (thermal management in microgravity), chemical sectors (improvement of reactions), among many others.

Furthermore, Seville, the capital of Andalusia and a historical meeting point of cultures, offers attendees a city full of monuments, history and hospitality, with the welcoming and vibrant character of its inhabitants.
