The Higher Technical School of Engineering of the University of Seville will host a session of the Engineering and Defense in Spain: Technological Heritage and Military Innovation conference series on October 26, 2026, under the motto "From defense problems to the capabilities that transformed engineering, industry and society.".

The activity proposes a journey through Spanish engineering applied to defense, through areas such as fortification, industrial manufacturing, navigation and shipbuilding, submarine navigation, communications, remote control and dual-use technologies, aeronautics and the relationship between engineering, heritage and society.

The event is aimed at university students, especially those with engineering degrees, faculty, research staff, professionals and citizens interested in engineering, technology, heritage and defense culture.

The series of conferences in October 2026 also includes sessions in Malaga, Cadiz, Cordoba and Jaen.

Organized by: University of Malaga, Manufacturing Research Group (iFAB) and Manufacturing Engineering Society, among other collaborating entities.
