To celebrate International Women's Day, the Official College of Telecommunications Engineers of Western Andalusia and Ceuta (COITAOC) is organizing the Professional Conference 'Women in Telecommunications Engineering', an initiative that aims to highlight the value of women within the ICT sector and the development of the profession and to promote STEM vocations in future generations.

The event, which will take place on March 8th, starting at 12:00, in the Graduation Hall of the Higher Technical School of Engineering (ETSI) of the University of Seville, will feature Magdalena Salazar Palma, Inmaculada Sánchez Ramos, Dulce Muñoz del Rey and Loreto del Valle Cebada, four women who have stood out for their professional career, their leadership and representation in the ICT sector in general and in Telecommunications in particular.

Joining them will be Marta Balenciaga, Dean-President of COIT, who will inaugurate the event, and María Eugenia Sánchez, Vice-Secretary of COITAOC, who will moderate the round table discussion, which will address, among other topics, the role of women in technological development and innovation, the challenge they face in a sector with a predominant male presence, the gender gap in the ICT sector, and the need to promote technological vocations among women.

A Professional Conference organized by COITAOC in which Magdalena, Inmaculada, Dulce and Loreto will participate are a great reference for future generations
