Climathon Seville

Climathon Seville

Seville will host the fourth edition of Climathon October 27th to 29th . Under the slogan "A Climate of Change Against Climate Change ," Climathon invites inquisitive and entrepreneurial talent to compete in creating new ideas to achieve the thermal comfort so often lacking in Seville. These solutions must focus on water, vegetation, or building materials.

This new edition, which expects a large number of applications, will once again form interdisciplinary teams that will work for 48 hours to develop real-impact projects that reverse the present and future effects of climate change. Participants do not require any prior preparation or specific training: they only need to be over 18 years old and committed to climate action. Groups of friends, colleagues, or classmates can also register directly as a team (maximum five members).

Climathon's primary objective is to raise awareness and mobilize citizens to become "agents of change." The event serves as a meeting point to find effective solutions that can be applied in Seville and other parts of the world, accelerating the transition to a climate-resilient, carbon-neutral society. The urgency of this goal is undeniable.

To increase the social impact and visibility of the initiative in this fourth edition, Climathon will have the support and sponsorship of the public and private sectors in the city of Seville. Key companies in the energy transition in Andalusia, such as Censolar, Quantica Renovables, and INERCO; Aborgase and the Chair of Circular Economy; the University of Seville, through the ETSA (School of Architecture); the Seville City Council, the Cartuja Science and Technology Park, and Andalucía Emprende; the organizations AIESEC, Fridays for Future, and OXFAM; the clubs Sevilla FC and Real Betis Balompié; the associations OK Planet, Amalgama Desarrollo, and Filosolar; and the companies Vegan Rock, Búho Verde, Sevilla Emprendedora, Kombucha-T, Terapia Urbana, The Bridge, Jalea de Mente, El Club de los Raros, Flores Miranda, and Aborigen Coffee; are actively collaborating in the organization, the definition of challenges, and the promotion of the event.
