196th Session of the Andalusian Aerospace Forum: "Parliamentary Support for Space in Andalusia"

Professor Carlos Gómez Camacho , Chair of Thermodynamics at the School , invites us to attend the 196th Session of the Andalusian Aerospace Forum on March 15th: "Parliamentary Support for Space in Andalusia." The session will be led by spokespeople from the Parliamentary Groups: Julia Ibáñez (Popular Group), Enrique Gaviño (Socialist Group), Juan José Bosquet (Vox Group), Esperanza Gómez ( For Andalusia Group), and a representative from the Mixed Group (to be named). Antonio Gómez-Guillamón , President of Andalusia Aerospace, will present the current state of the sector in Andalusia.

Wednesday, March 15, 11:30 a.m. In-person session at the Parliament building, Jiménez-Becerril Room. Access via San Juan de Ribera Street, Seville, with ID. Pre-registration required before Monday, March 13, by email to carl@us.es, with the subject line “Forum 196” and the body of the message, one line with surname, first name and ID number. Please respect the indicated format to facilitate processing by Parliament.

This 196th session continues and builds upon the 173rd session, held on October 7, 2020: "Continuing the impetus for the Space sector in Andalusia," and the 160th session, held on October 9, 2018: "Towards a Space Policy for Andalusia." In both sessions, all representatives of the Parliamentary Groups suggested support measures for the region and proposed legislative actions in this regard. A prime example of this was the unanimous approval of the "Non-Legislative Proposal regarding the promotion of the space sector in Andalusia" on February 27, 2019.The justification for holding the 196th session in Parliament is precisely to develop the principle of agreement reached in the 173rd session to create a Working Group to, as its title indicated, "Continue the impetus for the Space sector in Andalusia," an initiative that has been delayed as a result of the pandemic.
