Registration and Processing of Master's Theses
Registration and Processing of Master's Thesis (TFM)
Requirements:
- Having passed all subjects/credits required by the study plan (this must be stated in the student's academic record).
- The Master's Thesis must be assigned by the Department of the Tutor Professor in the School's Final Degree Projects application.
Steps to follow, all of them electronically through the School's website, in the "My Profile":
- The student must upload the Thesis (TFM) as a single PDF file. This file will include the thesis and, if applicable, any appendices, budget, plans, and codes. At the same time, the student must request authorization for its release from the supervising professor and, if necessary, a confidentiality agreement, for which they must also upload the document justifying this request. Additionally, the thesis must include a summary of the Bachelor's Thesis (TFG).
- The Tutor Professor, also through “My Profile”, will authorize the delivery of the TFM to the Secretariat.
- The student will register the defense request in the same application.
- From this moment the Secretariat will carry out the relevant checks, and if everything is correct, it will accept the Master's Thesis and inform the tutor of its availability for the appointment of the tribunal and, if applicable, subsequent defense.
The cover and title page of the report must include the name of the School and University, the degree and, where applicable, the mention, the title of the Master's Thesis, the names of the author, the tutor(s), the Department and Area of Knowledge of the latter and the year of presentation of the work, all following the format established by the School Board.
Once the Master's Thesis has been defended and approved, if the student has not been granted confidentiality, the text will be included in the e-Reding (Repository of the Higher Technical School of Engineering). Furthermore, if the student has obtained a grade of Outstanding or Honors, it will be included in the Research Repository of the University of Seville, with the prior authorization of the student's supervisor.
Delivery dates on the web platform (Secretariat), Academic Year 2025/2026:
- For defenses before the summer period (until July 29, 2026): until July 16, 2026 (signing of minutes until July 31).
- For defenses before the end of the academic year (November 20, 2026): until November 6, 2026. Exclusively for students who have passed the credits for the remaining subjects/credits in the 2025/2026 academic year. Defenses carried out after November 20, 2026 will be applied to the 2026/2027 academic year.
