Do you want to feel the roar of a J222 class rocket engine?

Test with a J222 class rocket engine
Date: May 21, 2024
Time: 10:00 hours
Location: ETSi football pitch

A test with a J222 class rocket engine will take place on the football pitch of the Higher Technical School of Engineering of the University of Seville

Next Tuesday, May 21st at 10:00 AM, on the football pitch of the ETSI (School of Engineering) at the University of Seville, the Rocketry Association will conduct a live test of a 260 kg thrust rocket engine.
This event will be accompanied by:

  • Basic concepts of rocket design and manufacturing.
  • Brief introduction to nozzle theory.
  • Solid propellant characterization experiment.
  • And finally, a final bench rehearsal that will be recorded by RTVE.

The test is part of the propulsion system improvement campaign for the NAOS project, currently being developed by Coheteros, and will serve as a rehearsal for the NAOS launch on June 7th.
NAOS is the most ambitious project ever undertaken by Coheteros. Standing 2.65 meters tall, with 776 grams of electronics, it features onboard video recording and telemetry, and a 2-meter diameter parachute. I've attached a video showing NAOS taking to the skies.

If you want to feel the roar of a J222 class rocket engine 🚀, you can't miss it!!
