11th Edition of the Master's Degree in Cybersecurity

11th Edition of the Master's Degree in Cybersecurity

Information and Communications Security

Become a Cybersecurity Specialist, one of the professions with the brightest future both nationally and internationally. This Master's in Cybersecurity will be in its eleventh year next academic year, having already trained over 120 professionals who are now working in cybersecurity companies. The Master's program is aimed at two profiles: ICT professionals (with or without cybersecurity experience) seeking high-quality continuing education; and recent university graduates in computer science or telecommunications who wish to train and orient their careers towards cybersecurity. The combination of both profiles in the working groups creates positive synergies in the learning experience.

Unlike official Master's degrees, taught exclusively by university professors and with a more theoretical or research-oriented focus, this specialized degree is geared towards preparing students for the job market. The degree aims to offer the highest quality instruction, and its main characteristics are:

- Blended learning, with classes on Fridays from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm and Saturdays from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm. This allows you to combine classes with work. If in-person classes are not possible, all modules of the master's program are prepared to be delivered online without compromising learning.

- Small groups: 21 places, allowing for high-quality, practical, and participatory teaching, as well as the formation of a cohesive group whose relationships last beyond the master's program. You will also have the opportunity to join the alumni network, where you can share contacts and job opportunities.

- Connection with industry: Professors from collaborating companies (2/3 of the faculty) contribute their industry experience. You can take advantage of this opportunity to enter the job market.

- Practical orientation: 60% of the credits are taught in the laboratory with practical content.

The Master's program has been designed to provide a solid and comprehensive technical foundation that allows you to work in any of the areas demanded by the market: risk audits, penetration testing, regulatory audits, hardening, Security Operation Centers (SOC), CISO, secure software development, etc., thus leaving room for future specializations or certifications depending on career development.

We hope to see you at the next edition!
