Mechanobiology; A view of clinical problems addressed by engineers

Mechanobiology
Summer Course
Location: Santa María de la Rábida, Huelva
Dates: July 24-27, 2023
Registration fee: 60 euros

The summer course on Mechanobiology explores elements of mechanical engineering methodology applied to clinical problems. These problems will be approached from both clinical and engineering perspectives, thanks to the course instructors' backgrounds in engineering and medicine. Throughout the program, participants will discover the benefits and synergies that arise from combining such different perspectives on the same clinical problem, yielding unexpected results through multidisciplinary collaboration between engineers and physicians. The course will be directed by Dr. José Antonio Sanz Herrera of the ETSi (School of

What is Mechanobiology?

Mechanobiology , and respiratory flow can be studied using mechanical engineering methodologies. This approach to these problems has yielded surprising results, demonstrating that many functions and responses of the human body depend heavily on mechanical factors, both in healthy and diseased states.
