JAE-INTRO Scholarship Offer for Introduction to Research AIHUB-CSIC

Apply for the JAE-INTRO Scholarship for Introduction to Research AIHUB-CSIC

The IMSE neuromorphic hardware systems group develops sensors and artificial intelligence systems based on information coding using impulses, imitating the nervous impulses of biological neurons. This type of coding greatly reduces the flow of information, resulting in systems with lower energy consumption, more portable and powerful. It is the paradigm of neuromorphic computing, a form of artificial intelligence. The group has the Loihi Kapoho Bay IBM platform, capable of hosting systems with up to 262K neurons as well as synapses with learning. The particular project proposed for the selected student would be, in addition to becoming familiar with the Loihi system and its python Lava tool, implementing some small system that interacts with our pulse cameras and performs some basic vision processing in real time. The specific particularities will be adapted to the student's previous training and thematic interest.
