The Airbus Women Network Women and Engineering Mentoring Program at the Higher Technical School of Engineering in Seville. Through the Airbus Chair at the University of Seville and in close collaboration with the Women Network, Airbus mentors will support the development of female students at the School.
What does the Women and Engineering mentoring program consist of?
The mentoring sessions will take place over six months, with six sessions lasting approximately two hours each. During this time, Airbus professionals will meet with the students enrolled in the program. In the first session, they will establish objectives, and in subsequent sessions, they will share their professional experiences, address the students' questions about career paths, and help them make their own decisions by evaluating alternatives from their perspective. This will contribute to their integration into the professional world and strengthen their technical vocation, encouraging them to eventually pursue leadership positions within their companies. As part of the program, the professionals will invite the students to visit their workplace, providing a motivating and stimulating environment for their technical careers.
What is Airbus' Women Network?
The Women Network works to reduce the existing gap between men and women in leadership positions. Through various activities and inspiring talks held at all Airbus Spain plants and divisions, they aim to break down the barriers that most women face in reaching these positions and to promote gender equality.
This volunteer network also seeks to develop projects that offer visibility to women and recognition of their skills. This fosters self-confidence and leadership among women within the organization.
The Airbus Women Network was created with the intention of reducing the current gap in female managers, increasing the number of women in leadership and expertise positions.
The existence of this network, made up exclusively of volunteers, helps overcome existing barriers not only for women themselves, but also in processes, among employees, and in society, to achieve greater gender equality.
