eCitySevilla is organizing Sustainable Mobility Days during the first week of October
From October 4th to 6th, the Sustainable Mobility Conference, organized by eCitySevilla Cartuja Technology Park . This pioneering public-private partnership initiative in Spain is led by the Regional Government of Andalusia (through the Ministry of Economic Transformation, Industry, Knowledge and Universities and the Andalusian Energy Agency, attached to the Ministries of the Presidency, Public Administration and the Interior, and Finance and European Funding); the Seville City Council; the Cartuja Science and Technology Park (PCT Cartuja); and Endesa. Dozens of other entities, including companies, institutions, universities, and research centers, have already joined the initiative.
The project proposes the development on the Isla de la Cartuja of a city model in an open, digital, decarbonized and sustainable ecosystem by 2025, bringing forward by twenty-five years the energy and climate goals set for 2050. With eCitySevilla, we are paving the way for the sustainable cities of the future.

Ecity Sevilla
project is committed to sustainable mobility, based on the premise that the future of mobility will be electric, connected, and shared. The initial goal is to replace approximately 2,000 vehicles with electric ones by 2025, with a priority access plan for clean vehicles. This implies a 20% share of electric vehicles in the total road network by 2025 and 37% by 2030. Furthermore, the project plans to install one charging point for every 10 electric vehicles, resulting in at least 200 charging points on the island.
The Mobility working group, led by the Seville City Council through the local Energy Agency belonging to the Delegation of Ecological Transition, seeks the declaration of a low emission zone (LEZ) in the Cartuja Science and Technology Park so that 25 years before 2050 the objectives that we as a city have assumed are brought forward in this environment.
To achieve this, work is being done on:
- semi-pedestrianization of a significant number of cross streets to convert them into pedestrian and green transit areas
- Reorganization and specialization of existing parking spaces inside and around the premises, using an environmental badge that would allow access via camera identification and which will be managed through a Smart parking solution
- integration into the planning of the use of the Charco de la Pava metropolitan park and ride facility, where the plan is to install an area of solar pergolas to
supply energy to the island and the network of electric chargers - Promoting the use of bicycles with the implementation of 1,000 more secure bicycle parking spaces compatible with electric scooters
- electrification of public transport
- development of the autonomous vehicle
- indoor network for private electric vehicle charging.
