A new call for entries for the CSIC - BBVA Foundation Scientific Communication Awards is now open 

Second edition of the CSIC - BBVA Foundation Scientific Communication Awards 

The BBVA Foundation and the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) are collaborating on the call for the new edition of this program, which recognizes and encourages the work of journalists and researchers committed to conveying scientific advances to the public in a rigorous and attractive way, as well as improving training in this field, which is crucial for the development of scientific culture in society.

Second Edition of the CSIC - BBVA Foundation Scientific Communication Awards 

CSIC – BBVA Foundation Scientific Communication Awards:

These awards aim to recognize outstanding contributions to the public understanding of science in Spain in two categories: one for journalists specializing in science communication and the other for researchers who have contributed to disseminating knowledge to society.
Candidates must be active professionals of any nationality who have carried out a significant portion of their science communication work in Spain.
Joint nominations from two or more individuals who have collaborated on science communication activities are permitted.

Funding: 40,000 euros for each category.

CSIC – BBVA Foundation Grants for Scientific Communication:

Aimed at university graduates from any field of study who wish to specialize in science communication, not in scientific-technical or research training.
Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • To have a university degree in any area of ​​knowledge.
  • Spanish nationals residing in Spain, or nationals of other countries residing in Spain, under the terms provided in the rules.
  • You must be no older than 35 years of age as of December 31, 2022.

Applications will be direct (submitted by the interested parties themselves).

Funding: maximum of 35,000 euros per category.
